Posting on Google Business with Ocoya

How to create, preview and schedule a Google Business post from Ocoya.

Written by Joe

Once your Google Business Profile is connected (see Connecting your Google Business Profile to Ocoya), you can create and schedule posts directly from Ocoya's content calendar.

Creating a Google Business post

  1. Open the post composer and select the Google Business icon from the list of connected profiles. Write your update in the caption field.

2. Switch to the Preview tab to check how your post will appear on your business profile before publishing.

Your post will now appear on your content calendar and will publish to your Google Business Profile automatically at the scheduled time.

Media considerations

  • You can post text updates on their own, or add an image to accompany your post.

  • Keep your update concise and relevant to your business, in line with Google's content policies for Business Profile posts.

  • Make sure your Google Business Profile listing stays in good standing, as Ocoya publishes directly to it.

Troubleshooting Google Business posting issues

Publishing failed

Check that:

  • Your Google Business Profile is still connected in Connections.

  • Your post content meets Google's content policies for Business Profile posts.

  • Any attached image meets Google's format and size requirements.

Post not appearing on your profile

It can take a short while for a published post to appear publicly on Google. If it still hasn't appeared after some time, check the post's status on your content calendar and confirm the connection is still active.
